Wisconsin's very own Wollersheim Winery does us proud again!

Wisconsin's climate is not the best suited for growing grapes to produce the wines we are most accustomed to drinking.  However, Wollersheim Winery in Prairie du Sac and Cedarburg has found four varieties of grapes that grow well here.  In doing so they recently received a record six awards while competing against more than 1,700 entries from the United States and 12 other countries at the San Diego International Wine Competition. Wollersheim landed platinum medals for its Dry Riesling and Prairie Blush wines as well as its Cedar Creek line of Waterfall Riesling and La Belle Vie wines. The company also received Best of Class in the Riesling category for White Riesling and for the Seyval grape category with Prairie Fume.

Most of us like to eat cheese with our wine, but chocolates also pair equally well.  The key is to find a wine that imparts the same amount of sweetness as the chocolate you are pairing it with.
