Every Day is Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and love is in the air. Whether you’re treating your sweetie to a romantic dinner at fancy restaurant or planning to cook a delicious meal in the comfort of your own home, complement these gestures with some thing sinfully sweet—because no Valentine’s Day is complete without a little chocolate.
As it’s been often said, the way to someone’s heart is through his or her stomach.
And for the past 50 years, we have been trying to reach everyone’s heart. For us, making candy is not just a job or a hobby; it is a passion.

We take pride in making quality products with the freshest ingredients, and we enjoy pairing uncommon ingredients to create innovative and tasty products that leave people wanting more.

Over the past few weeks we have been hard at work whipping up chocolate concoctions that are sure to make your taste buds go wild.  For that special someone who makes your heart flutter, we have designed a creamy milk chocolate heart shaped fudge dipped in sweet milk chocolate and embellished with mini hearts. If you’re looking for a sweet ending, our book of caramels slow cooked with sweet cream butter will suit your fancy.
To take an appetizing look at all of our Valentine’s product line, just peruse our site. We’re sure to have something that will warm the heart and satisfy the sweet tooth of your Valentine.

Indulging in chocolate is often referred to as a guilty pleasure, but Valentine’s Day is one exception to splurge.

So from Swiss Maid to our loyal fans who continue to provide inspiration for our irresistible goodies, we wish you Happy & Sweet Valentine’s Day!

NYC Chocolate Show: A Real Treat

If you’re a chocoholic that wasn’t able to attend the Chocolate Show in New York City this past weekend, you definitely missed out on a real treat. I think it’s safe to say I stepped into chocolate paradise. The Chocolate Show is the largest event dedicated to celebrating all things chocolate with over 65 chocolate exhibitors and mounds of savory, mouth-watering chocolate products.

Giveaway to Celebrate National Chocolate Cupcake Day!

Here at Swiss Maid Fudge, we pay tribute to anything made with chocolate nearly every day, but today we actually have a great reason to celebrate. It’s National Chocolate Cupcake Day- a food holiday we can appreciate.

While it seems almost any day of the week can be considered a national holiday, this is one that certainly deserves a celebration and cannot be passed up.

We can’t think of a better excuse to indulge in a few chocolate cupcakes treats and want to celebrate with our chocolate lovers by giving away DUTCHED COCOA POWDER so that one lucky winner can bake their very own homemade cupcakes using Swiss Maid Fudge’s Dutched Cocoa Power and their favorite cupcake recipe.

We’ll start you off with an easy recipe from Martha Stewart’s website: http://www.marthastewart.com/355559/devils-food-cupcakes.

All you have to do to enter is comment on our blog post with your favorite chocolate cupcake recipe! Be sure to include your email address so we can contact you if you win, but don’t worry, it will only be visible to us.

The giveaway will be open until Friday, Oct. 21. We’ll choose our favorite recipe and one lucky winner and post here on Monday, Oct. 24.

Happy National Chocolate Cupcake Day from us here at Swiss Maid Fudge…let’s get to celebrating!

Falling in Chocolate

"Forget love - I'd rather fall in chocolate!" - Author Unknown.

Don't you wish you knew who originally said that quote? We're all about love, don't get us wrong. But falling into chocolate sounds really special. I wonder what the author had in mind? I assume it was a woman since women tend to view chocolate as it's own food group and consume it on an almost daily basis. So do you think she was dreaming about a pool of chocolate? Almost like rich chocolate milk? Or maybe she was thinking about something a little thicker... like pudding? Certainly she wouldn't be referring to cocoa powder! One jump into that stuff and the dust would have you sneezing out of control.
